Synopsis:

Kjellgren Kaminsky Architecture has released plans to wipe away the old perception of a Swedish mental hospital and reuse the structure to develop a new social environment. The 10,800 sqm mental hospital will become the home for 230 apartment units. These units however will not be typical. The concept behind Parkour is to share functions so as to encourage interaction and potentially help those suffering from loneliness. Common amenities such as squash courts, spa/sauna, common lounge room, sports pool and a gymnasium will be included. It will also feature a shared workshop as well as communal food production space on the roof.
