Synopsis:

The old west Pasco jail was closed down last year after a large addition was put on the Land O’Lakes jail. That addition allowed Pasco to move its staff to the newer location, leaving the old jail empty. In the wake of reduced municipal funding, the Pasco sheriff would now like to put that vacant building back into use by selling it. Although there are no potential buyers for the 50,000 sf facility, the sheriff believes it may be a great location for nearby courthouse and county administration offices to expand into. If the facility is sold, it will be interesting to see just how the City of Pasco utilizing it for a better social purpose.
